The Ninth Circuit court of appeals on Tuesday declared California’s Proposition 8, which bans gay marriage in the state, unconstitutional. The decision sets up what is almost certain to be a Supreme Court ruling on the matter. Of course California isn’t the only state wrestling with the issue of marriage equality. Here’s a look at where things stand across the country.

so while sitting in my new favorite cafe in hillcrest SD, I did my reading for my international relations class, there were all articles about a female role in foriegn policy and government. There are almost no women with high level positions in politics….its crazy, but it also discusses the need for more women to emerge and break into politics, this is all I want, is to over the next few years finsih my schooling and break into politics…..the only problem it leaves no room for relationships one of the main issues that was discussed was that politics is time consuming involves a lot of travel and being away from home…even today i was talking to this guy who has been in love with me for years, but he goes “you have your plans and its clear i am not in them” which isnt what i said, but he isnt willing to visit me here in CA and only wants me to go back to CT or further move with him to PA altough we are not dating and never have……and then it dawned on me…I am single, and I have a love hate relationship with being single…..but is it because my plans are too intimidating for guys to see past it and get to know me and for relationships….is having plans and goals and dreams keeping me from having a boyfriend? and if it is thats crazy, its not like I am some super feminist who doesnt want to have a family to cook for and make a home quite the contrary i love doing “womenly” things like cooking baking making crafts for those I love, getting dressed up, just ask my friends who spent vday with me and were supplied a plethera of baked goods in the shapes of hearts and chocolate covered fruit….but I also like reading books, and the newspaper, traveling, being involved in politics, and increasingly doing things by myself and going to the gym…. but why does that mean i am to intimidating, why are stong and outspoken women the ones who end up single what man wouldnt want a women who speaks her mind and can hold an intellegent conversation as well as is easy on the eyes? it makes no sense….. atleast not to me…
You break up with your boyfriend who none of your friends (understood why you were dating or even why you like him) because he has not time for you not because you stopped caring, then you find out he cheated on you with his nasty skank of an ex…then you dont speak for months, He contacts you and then you start to talk again and work on things and you become on and off again for a while, fighting and getting back together…then all of the sudden he dissapears….you stop hearing from him…you later find out he was two timing you with another skank in his new home town….cheated on her with you and now they are living together and she is his everything…you are meaningless in his life again…. but randomly he comes in and out of your life…then you finally think youve gotten over him after years of unrest….dont think about him dont have any contact with him FB not phone nothing….as far as you know hes still living with the white trash skank he left you for…..and then a friend tells you they broke up….He’s single…. and as much as you thought you were over him….something comes rushing back and now you confused as ever… knowing that this song should be your anthem and that you should just forget him but still hoping he will contact you…..that maybe he misses you…
